Desk Clocks
Description
In 1947, George Nelson was commissioned to design a clock collection. He observed that people read time by the hands’ position, making numbers unnecessary. With wristwatches common, clocks became decorative elements. This led to his first collection of 14 clocks in 1949, featuring diverse shapes, colors, and materials, all without numbers.
