Standard Chair
Description
Chairs endure the most stress on their back legs, which support the user’s weight. Jean Prouvé’s Standard chair uses steel tubing for the front legs and robust hollow sections for the back legs to efficiently transfer stress to the floor.
It offers options with wooden or ASA plastic seats and backrests, while the Chaise Tout Bois features an all-wood design created during World War II to adapt to metal shortages.

Jean Prouvé , who regarded himself as an engineer throughout his lifetime, was both the designer and manufacturer of his product ideas. Jean Prouvé achieved the goal of uniting functional requirements, the honest use of materials, and economic concerns with the complex demands of mass production.
